Hi,

I might be looking at a Brand New Audi A1. I would probably be looking at the basic spec 1.2 FSI SE

I know that sometimes you can get a Dealer contribution, is it likely to get any of that sort with a A1?

I have seen that a few members have the Audi A1. Would like their views on the vehicle, and if they dont mind, what kind of deal they got?

Would you get a better deal if you were to purchase through finance or purchase a vehicle outright?

Any other comments are welcome too

A1 deals are quite hard to come by, but not impossible. That said the SE models are limited in number and you're more likely to find a discount with Sport upwards (the 1.4 is the much better engine anyway).

Hi I bought a 1.2tfsi Sport for my girlfriend 1.5 years ago when they just came out. The excellent GFVs and decent interest rates made them very cheap to purchase on PCP deals.

Since then I've always kept my eye on the Audi Offers page:

Latest offers < Explore models < Audi UK

To see if any better deals came along allowing me to switch her into a 1.6tdi with a few more toys as well. I once saw a £750 contribution on a 1.2 sport but that couldn't have lasted more than a month

So the only option you have is haggling with the dealer, but bear in mind the A1 is a very low margin car so it's a question of finding a dealer that really wants the business. A friend of mine works for one of the largest dealers in the south east and he spends his whole time moaning about A1 customers!
