Motorbike Tax

Read a article in the latest MCN, and it seems that if you are self employed and use a bike for your company it seems as if 100% of the cost is potentially available as a tax write off in the year of purchase.

Could only find the links to the accountant who made the statement:

Bentleys

And one in the Bolton News

Does anyone have any more info on this? Or even better yet, taken advantage of it?

Re: Motorbike Tax

I assume this would be if you are a bike courier for example, rather than using a bike to commute. Apologies if I'm stating the bloomin' obvious and you knew that

Re: Motorbike Tax

Well I suppose if you are self employed with a business address and then travel to client/customer sitesd with the bike this should also apply.

Should really speak to an accountant, but thought is worth trying AVF seeing as there are folks from all walks of life here.
