A google search for Holden Monaro may also provide more insight into daily life with a Monaro.

The Monaro is built by Holden in Australia (as is the VXR8). Both are based on the Holden Commodore, one of the mainstream cars there.

nealry bought a 2005 monaro the 5.7V8 there is a thread about it in here somewhere if you search. I loved it, very smooth power delivery, not great handling but just one of those cars you click with!
Lack of service history put me off that particular one.

What did you get instead marky?

ended up with an e46 M3. Imola red horrible smg gearbox.
Now have an e90 330d
I think if the monaro had a fsh i would have bought it and maybe a 1.9diesel bora for the day to day stuff.
Have you been for a test drive yet? I bet the 6L engine packs a real punch.
