Car horn

I really don't like the sound the horn makes in my car, my question is could I change for one I do like. How universal are horns between different makes of car?

Re: Car horn

Most horns are just 2 wires but the connections vary between different makes. Its an easy diy job to swap a horn though as long as you have easy access.

Re: Car horn

Do cars still have horns? I thought they were optional extras just for minicabs.

Seriously, I've had my current car for a year, and I've never used the horn - don't even know what part of the wheel to hit.

Come to Birmingham and set your horn free! I use mine everyday near enough.

Re: Car horn

Back in the day as a newly passed 17yr old, I remember me and my mates all swapping the standard puny horns in our 1.1 Fiesta's or similar for bloody loud air horns Oh the shame...

I dont think it was quite as loud as this mother...

Re: Car horn

The only time I hear my car horn is when its MOT time. On my bike I find I often need it but can never remember which button it is and by the time I find it, its too late.
