Hey, my colleague has an Audi TT (old style) and his coolant light came on. I checked the level of fluid under the hood and confirmed it was below the min.

I've never had to top up coolant before, and neither has my colleague. Is it as easy as adding a mix of 50% water/anti-freeze. Or does it require a certain product?

Why he's losing coolant needs investigation.
Many audi owners report coolant loss and it is down to porous cylinder heads.
Expensive fix.
I'm not trying to scare your colleague, just saying it needs investigation, especially if it continues to use coolant.
