Audi A4, is this a good price?

Just been on a test drive of an Audi A4 1.9tdi at 'The car shop'.
The car is up for £9778.
2007 car.
83000 miles with full service history.
One previous owner.
Body work seems very good, (I work as a paintless dent remover).
Hpi checked (Done by the car shop).
Looking on autotrader, I can not find one similar for that price.
What do you guys think?

Seems an ok price.
I would say that the price maybe reflects the engine.
Most buyers, looking at a 2007 Audi, will want the 2.0tdi engine.
The 1.9tdi is a very rough and old-fashioned engine.
It was considered a bit 'rough and ready' when it was fitted to my 2002 A4, never mind a 2007 one.
Much more economical than the 2.0tdi though.

Re: Audi A4, is this a good price?

As above...the 2.0 TDI engine is probably favoured in all honesty. Seems quite high mileage for the year.

Re: Audi A4, is this a good price?

yea very cheap for the age, but the milage is very high, even tho its 2007 what part of 2007 as it could be late 2007 meaning its done all the milage in under 2 years, what was the car running like when you test drove it?

Re: Audi A4, is this a good price?

An A3 fitted with the 1.9tdi engine is £35 a year roadtax.
We have one in the fleet.
Strange that the same engine in the A4 is so much more expensive.
Maybe not fitted with a DPF (diesel particulate filter) in the A4.
That's a good thing, IMO.
If you go into any Audi forum you will see that one thing Audi are not good at is DPFs....
