Question about RAM and my motherboard

Ok, so I've found some 8gb RAM for £30 which i what i want for my computer however its runs at 1600Mhz and my current RAM runs at 1333Mhz.

I copied this from the type in pc wizard: DDR3-SDRAM PC3-10700 (667MHz) - [DDR3-1333].

My question is how can i find out what types/speed of RAM my motherboard will support? My motherboard is a Packard Bell imedia S3810.

According to Crucial Memory website your motherboard can take the following RAM:
Quote:
Memory Type: DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 (non-ECC)
Maximum Memory: 8GB
Slots: 4
Each memory slot can hold DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-12800 with a maximum of 2GB per slot
Note that it states 'maximum of 2GB per slot' so if the RAM you have found is 2x 4Gb then it wont go in this PC.
Also if you are running a 32bit version of Windows then anything over 4Gb in total will be ignored as it will only be able to address a max of 4Gb. For 8Gb to be usable you need to have a 64bit version of Windows.

Mark.

So I can run 1600mhz RAM however only 2gb stick version rather than 4 :/. I am running 64 bit windows so I know I can use more than 4gb of RAM.
