Lost with Motherboards.

Hi,
I am looking at selling my

Intel core i7 930 2.8G s1366
ASUS Rampage 11 extreme X58
6GB 3x2 CMP6GX3M3A1600C8 DHX
750 CM Extreme GX 80+ PSU
T/R Ultra - 120 extreme 1366

I am lost at what Motherboards do what now days, so can I please ask for some advice on what Motherboard , CPU , Ram , combo or individual items.

I would like to still use a i7 CPU .

The items I do have to add are ,

256Gb Samsung 830 series SSD
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 Ultra Durable GV-N670OC-2GD

Any help would be brill.

What you have in the PC you are selling is a first gen Core i7 CPU. Now there are second and third generation i7 CPU's that use a different socket 1155. There are also the sandy bridge E i7's which use another different socket which is a more expensive platform. Ivy Bridge I7 would be decent I guess and the best sort of motherboard that have overclocking features are the Z77 chipset models.
Everything still uses DDR3 memory
