Another AMD vs Intel Processor Thread

I'm currently trying to decide which Laptop to buy and have been researching into which CPU would be the best to go with.

On the whole it seems that Intel are still leading the way, but the one thing I have yet to truely gauge is a comparison between similar performance chips.

For example:

- Which Core 2 Duo Processor would show equivilant performance to an AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60?

- Which AMD processor would show equivilant performan to an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500?

Does anyone know if these represent a good deal?

Does anyone own an HP Pavilion AMD Turion X2? Is it any good, any problems?

Does anyone own an HP Pavilion Intel Core 2 Duo? Is it worth the extra money do you think?

Has anyone had any experience of comparing similar AMD and Intel systems?
