Thumbs down SpeedFan glitch on Asus board?

Does anyone actually know why SpeedFan (latest version) shows Aux 119 degrees, when other temps are fine?
It seems like a glitch. If it is, is it a glitch related only to Asus boards (Winbond sensor W83627DHG), or maybe just P5's?
I've read of others seeing this, but no-one really seems to know why.
Is Aux meant to be the PSU or something else?
As this is a new build, it would be good to know what's going on before trying o/c.

Thanks,
Jaco

Re: SpeedFan glitch on Asus board?

not sure about why, but I have one sensor showing -2 degrees, so I just turn it off

Re: SpeedFan glitch on Asus board?

I have an asus p5k-vm and the temps are completely wrong haven't really been able to get to the bottom of it but i think it's bios related. I downloaded coretemp linked on this page and now i'm getting more realistic temps. http://www.overclockers.com/articles1378/index.asp

The processor controls when the chip throttles or shuts down due to over heat but it would be nice to have an accurate temperature.
