Think i'd rather buy a new PSU, than spend money on a stop gap solution. Plus its going to take up space in the case.

agree with you on that... plus at a price of $89.99 then using the exchange rate unique to computer parts the uk price will be 80 - 90 quid..... cheaper to just buy a psu with the power you need.
