CPU L2 Cache

Hi,

How important is this in a HTPC running Vista Ultimate, especially playing HD/BD stuff..?

I'm on the lookout for a new socket AM2 based CPU, and found this list: http://www.amd.com/gb-uk/Processors/...E13076,00.html

I'm not sure whether sacrificing the L2 cache for lower thermal power is a good or bad thing.

Thanks/...
