I have come across the older version of the quad core 6600 [£140] its the none GO stepping version isnt as power efficient etc but is a bargain.
I am building a pc for myself [well 2 including sons for xmas] so money is tight the £30 would help pay for other bits. Is it still worth getting ?

yeah it's still exactly the same spec as the G0 version, generally runs slightly hotter and doesn't overclock as well as the G0.

If your not planning on overclocking then yes - go for it.

The G0's can now be had for £160 i beleive as a matter of interest
