Processor advice needed.

Hi,
My father is looking to upgrade his CPU in his current PC and has found this processor for sale on amazon:-

His motherboard is a skt 775 D915GAV but looking at intels list of compatible processors the above cpu doesn't appear.

The list hasn't been updated for a while and I'd just like someone to confirm if this CPU is suitable for this motherboard before he decides to purchase it.
I've had a look for other pentium 4 skt 775's but stock is never available so if anyone can point us in the direction of a similar compatible processor > 3 GHz it'd be appreciated.

Hi

That Processor is the Intel Pentium 4 661. The compatibility list on Intel's website says the board will accept the Intel Pentium 4 660.

I'm 99% sure this CPU will be fine! As a general rule of thumb, if a board can take 1 6-series Pentium 4, chances are it can take all of the 6-series range.
