| Which 24" Monitor?
I am looking for some recommendations for a 24" PC Monitor. One which can display 1920x1200 would be nice.
At the moment I have a very small portable CRT TV as I am looking for a new TV, so it would be nice if I could use this screen as a temporary display for DVD and Freeview playback. This Portable despite being quite a few years old (10+) copes very well at displaying just about any framerate I try and show (24, 25 & 30 fps).
It should have VGA and DVI or HDMI which I can connect a DVI from my PC to. Component would be useful providing I could connect a standard Def Mpeg4 DVD player or Freeview PVR (possibly the Toppy 5800) to, providing it can upscale it to fit the screen well. Using Component could be a problem as some of the stuff I play with my DVD player is 24, 25 and 30 fps so it would have to cope with those frame rates, which I understand can be a problem. Information on this would be helpful.
Taking the uses into account, PiP would be useful, it would be nice to be able to watch a DVD or Freeview in a small window.
I do not Play Games, but I do do a lot of video encoding & editing so a display which does not display trails is important.
I have been looking at these Monitors>
Benq FP241W
Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP-HC
LG L246WP
Gateway FPD2485W
Samsung SM-245BW
But they all seem to have some problems/limitations.
But would consider any others.
So can anyone recommend a Monitor or provide any advice to help me choose?
I better add that up until now, I have only ever used CRT's. My Current one is a 19" Iiyama VisionMaster Pro 454 which I run in sRGB mode as I do not like looking at bright screens.
