If you watch all the reviews on you tube etc. The 3g allways wins on what's important to me. The ui and the fantastic touch screen.
The iphone is the cream of the crop. That's my opinion. And I'm entitled to my opinion. So stick that in your fanboy hat and smoke it old boy. |
The cream of the crop for your requirements, which are very basic if the above is accurate, doesn't mean the same as the cream of the entire mobile industry crop.
You are absolutely correct that the UI and the Touch Screen are the top of the mobile world now. I would personally argue that Android is as good a UI as the iPhone. It's all personal opinion though.
But let's not forget that the UI and the Touch Screen are there
only to give you access to the software and features of your phone. They aren't applications, services or any more than an Touch Screen User Interface to the features of the phone. If the features beneath don't cut it, it's all a bit pointless. A bit like having a beautiful, super-model girlfriend who smells terrible, kicks your dog and craps in your lunchbox... all the pretty touchy stuff is wasted as the important things are not good enough.
The fanboy thing is funny though. Nobody said you, coaldust, were a fanboy yet you still felt the need to rubbish the fanboy comment and proclaim the iPhone as the cream of the crop without justifying those comments
To me, a fanboy is anybody who cannot provide a balanced opinion, is convinced the good parts are the best and only option and the bad parts don't exist or are not important. It's also somebody who feels the need to protect the status of their chosen device.
