The phone's are big at the moment but thats not the only problem

3 is not very good at the moment and has loads of problems with its network and you'll have to live in a big city to get 3g coverage and sometimes when on full reception you cant make a call or get cut off.
There's no cross network mms and the the phones and network have been locked so you cant brows the net etc.

This is just a small list of the probs.

Goto the 3g formum where i also post

Yeah orange will match most of the 3 deals in most areas and that is one of the reason why they have just dropped the price of their mms charge to 25p each, 3 also charge 25p each and 50p for video messages.

The best way is to say your gonna leave and join 3 unless you can offer me something good to stay and they will give u a good deal in most cases

Vodofone are giving away free dvd players along with 3 films with certain phones. Suart Little 2, Crouhing Tiger and Charlies Angells.
I bought a GXi free on contract they were offering GX20 for £60 then a 1 off payment of £70 the following month then you choose what tarif you want.

These deals sound a real bargain, for £99 you get a Samsing C100, or that sendo flip (sorry cant remember the model, the cheap colour one) and a sim card that pre paid for 12 months, it includes 100mins X network too all for £99.
Use the samsung 50 quid off voucher, you got a years mobiling for 50 quid!!!!!

I was looking for a P900 for ages, no stocks anywhere. I was about to pay a couple of hundred £'s for it too.

Anyway, I just got one from an O2 shop on this deal, and could not believe they could do it at this price!

I can't find no mention in the T&C of downgrading after 3 months though, so it seems it could be swapped to a lower tarrif now. Even the online info mentions that if you change tarrifs in the first 3 months, then you lose the free texts!
Also, there appears to be an £11.99 tariff available

I may try and swap to a lower tarrif next week, and then just put my existing Orange sim in it.

BTW, I think all camera phones are current free at O2

Hi Phil,

Can you clarify where you saw that deal and where the Samsung cash back voucher is available? Is that in the O2 stores? That sounds like an amazing bargain especially if the xnet minutes are any time!

D.

hey Phil,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah, I went in-store today and they confirmed the bad news! Still, the manager told me that the same or similar deal may be on again shortly (just before Christmas (!) or around New Year time), so not a total loss.

Cheers,

D

Question for philst68i

Did you manage to downgrade your phone then please. I am getting one end of the week and expected to wait 3 months, would be good if I could downgrade straight away.

thanks

Ian
