10 months ago i brought a nokia 6500 slide on contract from phones 4 you on vodafone. during the time i have had to take my phone back twice for repair as it just keeps freezing. it has now started to do the same for the third time. what i'm asking is if anyone knows where i stand in trying to get the phone swapped for a different model? i was very happy with the 6500 slide but starting to get annoyed at going back to the shops every few months.

Has the shop told you what was wrong with it?

if it's a software fault chances are they are just reflashing the firmware. You can do this yourself using Nokia Software updater that comes as part of Nokia PC suite.

Many phone shops aren't that good at dealing with phone faults despite what they might tell you.

you can send the phone direct to Nokia and get it repaired free using this form. In my experience they are always repaired to a very high standard (and usually fully refurbished which is a bonus) sending them here.

Normally get them back within 2-3 days after sending as well

they changed the main board last time i think,, they've sent it of again as it's company policy to try and repair a phone 3 times before a replacement. which i think is wrong.
