basically im looking for information on this phone such as:

When will it be released?
Will it be exclusive to one company like the iPhone is to O2?
What companies will offer it?

my current phone contract runs out on march 3rd, hoping to get this if its realeased near that date.

Nokia are being pretty tight lipped at the moment and are saying a Q2 release. Expansys are advertising 23rd June release and the rumours are for release around June. The phone should be available to all networks as exclusivity hasnt been announced and it should be available through pretty much all retailers I would imagine.

This video on Youtube seems to be posted by Nokia themselves. Or perhaps someone affiliated with Nokia. At the end of the intro to the N97. They say "June 2009"

So I'm guessing around then. You could also always buy unlocked phones! You don't have to join with the plans hahaha.

I will be getting the N97 or HTC touch. I am not sure which yet as the HTC touch looks nicer and is thin where as the N97 looks quite chunky from the pics because off the qwerty keyboard.
I think the N97 is supposed to have a better camera and bigger screen as well.

not a big fan of the n97 , looks big and that keyboard is a throw back to the communicator which was an abomination ......

HAHahahahhahah, that's hilarious. it does look colossal, and it does look like the old Nokia communicators.

@crazzy kopite. Be careful with the HTC phones my man. They are a delight no doubt. Sleek, sexy, and nice in size, but with windows mobile, it's very unpredictable. Every friend that bought an HTC loved it, yet at the same time hated it because of the software. It lagged, crashed, and was unresponsive at times. I suggest, like any other electronics. Test it out through a friend before you 'jump the gun' and throw down your cash for it!

And if anyone was curious about where I got the video, obviously youtube, but I googled it, hahaha.
