For no reason at all my N82 keypad is not working, and as the phone only boots up with it "locked" I can't do anything, except switch it on and off! (hard reset does not work)

I took the sim out to reboot it without it but that changed nothing and now it doesn't seem to recognise the sim

Any ideas for a fix? I hear Nokia have a 2 year transferrable warranty so I may have to look into that...

If it's a phone you bought on contract you could call your network provider, otherwise contact Nokia as I'm sure all N Series have a 2year warranty.
