Question Fixing damaged LCD's??

My HTC touch has developed a black smudge on the display of the LCD screen

HTC are trying to charge me £60 for a replacement screen for a minor smudge

Is there any way around it??

I think you were being wound up, I can't see how putting the battery and SIM in a freezer will help.

Its not possible to repair an LCD panel, so replacement is the only option.

Putting the phone MINUS the battery and sim hahaha

Guess i wasn't that clear

By the way im deffinitely NOT suggesting to try this to anyone who's reading this thread, it's just a roumor i heard
Putting the phone in the freezer is even worse. If the LCD freezes it will be permanently destroyed. I think you should stop listening to rumours and get the screen fixed professionally.
