Re: The perfect mobile phone

i don't know anything abut the perfect phone other than the following:

a) it will never exist, except if it's released by a company that has no business sense and doesn't deserve to be in business.
b) it's very bad business. any company that released the perfect phone would find their sales and profits nose-dive extremely quickly.
c) no company will ever release the perfect phone because they need to give the customer a reason to upgrade and keep the spending/upgrading cycle going on ad infinitum

Re: The perfect mobile phone

I have the perfect phone for me. The C905, it does everything I want my phone to do right now.

My last upgrade I wanted a music player, I've since got a Sony MP3 player, so when I upgraded this time I wanted a good camera and wasn't concerned about the music player. I think peoples requirements/wants change over time so they won't necessarily want the same from their next phone as they do with with the one they currently have. Hence their never actually being a single perfect phone.

Re: The perfect mobile phone

Why are you bothering dear such type of perfect mobile phone is already hitting the market named touchscreen sony ericsson Xperia x1 with all these features like QWERTY keypad, 3.2mp camera, web browser, video camera.
So, you can get a perfect mobile phone from any retailer shop if you can afford.

huh?!

a) It has exisited for me at least 3 times. Nokia 5110, SE i800, N95.

b) Yep. no one would buy a perfect phone

c) They already have an will contuine to do so. Technology moves very fast and people will always need to upgrade, even the fashion and design of mobiles moves on quickly. Honestley a perfect phone today, will be basic spec in 5 years time.

I think I can vaugley see your point of they could make a 12MP camera phone now and they're slowly rolling out 5, 8 then 10mp cameras when they could have jumped to 10mp. Yes, that makes sense to keep constant updates every year. But we dont have the market for it.

Go to Korea or Japan 10mp phones were the norm over a year ago.

Jap and Korean manf. think Euro is all about desgin and looking cool, not high spec.

Besides this you missed the point of the thread. He was getting at if you could combine all phones togetehr what would you take from waht to make your ideal handset.

Yes but the web broweser could be painfully horrible to use, along with the touch screen too. and 3.2MP camera is old hat.

How about on board memoy, bet it is quite small.

Besides, your perfect phone could be my worst phone and vie versa

For me perfect phone of whats on the market would be:

Touchscreen: iPhone
keypad: None
Camera: Samsung Primera (8mp great focus and lens for a handset)
Video: N96 (30FPS)
web browser: iPhone (best I used hands down)
Memory: Sansung Primera (16gb and expandable SD mem)
Build Qaulity: Nokia 8800 (Metal construction)
Design:Mix of Nokia 8800 and iPhone

Design/Build : Nokia 8800SE
Web Browser : G1
O.S. : iPhone
Camera : C905
Video/Audio : Renoir/Arena
Storage : N96

Best phone's i've owned are the K800i and the N95, had just about every phone on the market but these were the only 2 that were groundbreaking from memory.

Re: The perfect mobile phone

Any of the above.........plus......

make it waterproof and shock proof.

The last thing you want is your perfect (and expensive) phone to be easily ruined.
