c) no company will ever release the perfect phone because they need to give the customer a reason to upgrade and keep the spending/upgrading cycle going on ad infinitum |
huh?!
a) It has exisited for me at least 3 times. Nokia 5110, SE i800, N95.
b) Yep. no one would buy a perfect phone
c) They already have an will contuine to do so. Technology moves very fast and people will always need to upgrade, even the fashion and design of mobiles moves on quickly. Honestley a perfect phone today, will be basic spec in 5 years time.
I think I can vaugley see your point of they could make a 12MP camera phone now and they're slowly rolling out 5, 8 then 10mp cameras when they could have jumped to 10mp. Yes, that makes sense to keep constant updates every year. But we dont have the market for it.
Go to Korea or Japan 10mp phones were the norm over a year ago.
Jap and Korean manf. think Euro is all about desgin and looking cool, not high spec.
Besides this you missed the point of the thread. He was getting at if you could combine all phones togetehr what would you take from waht to make your ideal handset.

So, you can get a perfect mobile phone from any retailer shop if you can afford. |
Yes but the web broweser could be painfully horrible to use, along with the touch screen too. and 3.2MP camera is old hat.
How about on board memoy, bet it is quite small.
Besides, your perfect phone could be my worst phone and vie versa
For me perfect phone of whats on the market would be:
Touchscreen: iPhone
keypad: None
Camera: Samsung Primera (8mp great focus and lens for a handset)
Video: N96 (30FPS)
web browser: iPhone (best I used hands down)
Memory: Sansung Primera (16gb and expandable SD mem)
Build Qaulity: Nokia 8800 (Metal construction)
Design:Mix of Nokia 8800 and iPhone
