I am due an upgrade on jan 3rd with Three. I have a nokia 6120 paying £15 a month on the texter plan.

What FREE handset do you think I could manage to get on the same plan?

I really want the N95 but I doubt they will give me that for free on that tariff as it's a £250 phone to buy if taking that tariff, so I would be more than happy with the Nokia 6600 Slide. However again the 6600 is £99 on the tariff I want - however this is if you are joining as a new customer...

Just not sure what I can ask for. When you call them to upgrade, do they tell you 2 or 3 phones you can have and it's like it or lump it? How does it work?

Haggle...threaten to leave 3...that generally gets the options for upgrades far wider

Can't cancel til April though. Jan is my 15th month so I can upgrade.

Wait till your contract ends. I phoned them to see what they were offering when I could upgrade but they offered what they offer to new customers.

Hi thanks for your replies.
At the upgrade stage, can you not get a deal? i.e. I want the Nokia 6600 Slide. It's £99.99 on the £15 text package. Would I not stand a chance getting that for free if I agree to another 18 month contract?

At the 15 month upgrade stage, can you also change your price plan? i.e I am paying £15 a month for the 600 a month text plan, however they now to a £15 a month unlimited text plan.
