Vodafone or Orange, which is best for Data packages??

Hiya, I am on the hunt for a new phone to replace my iphone which I am wanting rid of due to the very poor edge coverage and other issues. I also want to avoid O2 due to them not letting me upgrade to a 3G when I could and again other issues I have had with them over the last few years.

I have decided I will go with either Vodafone or Orange (possibly the Samsung Pixon) but can't seem to find any concrete info as to how much each charge for data use, how much you can use etc

I know Vodafone offer free internet on 18 month £35+ contracts but was hoping to get a 12 month one somewhere.

Any suggestions or ideas on what costs would be involved?? (my Data use on my iphone over the last 14 months has been around 20-30MB and only twice did it go over to 49MB and 54MB)

Orange is 250MB, Vodafone is 500MB

Vodafone have the better (faster, better coverage) data network, but it's worth checking local coverage on their website.

Re: Vodafone or Orange, which is best for Data packages??

I have had a good root around the websites tonight and managed to find that Orange charge either a capped rate of £1.50 per day or £7.50 for anytime access and Vodafone seem to offer free data on 18 month £35 contracts,

However I have also looked at the coverage checkers and it looks like the one place I REALLY want access to internet services (KC stadium in Hull for football updates whilst at the match on weekends) does not have 3G coverage with Vodafone so it looks like Orange may have to be the way to go even if they are slightly more expensive.

I will probably sign up to one of the mobile tv packs rather than use websites so will I need the data bundle aswell as the tv pack???

TV packs on Orange are separate to your data pack anything you watch is not taken from your 250Mb download, can't speak for Vodafone though.
