I've just completed a 12 month contract with Orange and I'm looking to transfer my mobile number to a brand new contract at O2.

I know if I want to end the Orange contract, I have to give 30 days notice to them.........but what happens if instead, I just get my PAC code from Orange and give it to O2 who will only take about 7 days to transfer the number across and activate it with them.

Will Orange still charge me 30 days notice or because I have completed my 12 months with them, will the Orange contract just simply end when the PAC code is used by O2 ?

You should give Orange the proper notice

Not worth it to be stuck with a new 12 month contract. I would not leave it open for them to argue that a pac code request does not mean it will be used
