Phone contract

Hi everyone

Im new to phone contracts, but not new to phones and im really in need of some help,

I have a budget of £25 a month to spend but i need to have unlimited texts and atleast 200+Minutes,

I'd ideally like a touch screen phone and one one thats got a good music player built in and also with large memory capacity to store music and films (I dont ask for much do i, ahahah), i can't afford to pay for the phone so it has to be free (Unless i wait a few months, which really isnt an option) Im comfortable with using all types of phones but wouldnt like to be on 3 as i've heard of bad reception and other problems with them etc...

Is it better to wait for more deals to come out closer to christmas for what im looking for?

Please help me and if you need any more details please post

Cheers,

Ethan

Re: Phone contract

You can start by looking here at Mobiles.co.uk which can give you a idea of what you can get for your money. Also, go into a phone shop and say what your willing to pay, see what they offer.

For £25 a month and a free handset - i think touch screen is out!

Don't forget the norm is now 18 month contracts, with better deals on 24 months.

Re: Phone contract

I wouldn't be quick to discount 3 without trying them first via a PAYG SIM. 3 isn't as bad as people make out. Yes there are some places where you can't get reception but the other 4 providers also have areas where you will not get a signal.

I have been 3 for about 2 years now and never really been in a place (besides on the Tube) where I do not get reception. Their basic tarriff is £15 which includes 300 minutes/text/combination plus 300 3 to 3 minutes. On top of that you get free access to their portal, £30-45 per friend you refer (they will be creditted as well), and free global roaming when you travel to a country with a 3 sister network (provided you roam onto 3) such as Hong Kong, Australia, Sweeden and Italy.

My suggestion would be get a 3 PAYG SIM and try the reception around places you frequent e.g. home, work, etc.
