Im thinking about getting the Nokia 6500 or sonyW890i
Does anybody know if these phones are easy to unlock..?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I can tell you that the Nokia 6500 Slide is running the latest Nokia system (can't remember the proper terms!! ) and can be unlocked although price is around £25-£30. The service is offered by many shops but not all have the capability in the store to unlock this type of phone and need to send the handset away to get unlocked hence the high cost.

Just a piece of advice, it's worth checking with your network how much they would charge to unlock your handset. When I was ordered my samsung omnia from t-mobile, when asked they told me it would cost £15 to unlock it, and would take upto 28 days for the code to come through, and I can do it myself with that.
