Hi, I bought a Nokia N95 8GB from a friend,

I am having a problem with the messaging, when i send a message, it goes to the outbox and then after a few mins gives a error message which says:

Unable to send message: (contact name)

Then there is a details page which gives the message:

General:
Memory Full. Close some applications and try again,

Im using the mass memory too,

can someone help?

i have held down the menu button and closed all applications, only one application is showing which says Standby but i cannot find where it is to close it...

help??

My advice is to update the firmware and stop using the mass memory for messages, its pointless really and can cause problems, its also slower. Updating is easily done with Nokia software updater. If nothing else this will clear the memory of anything dodgy. Save all your contacts and the user files you want then format the mass memory and do the update.

i cant seem to find the option to swap from mass / phone memory...

Go to messaging, then select options, then settings, then Other, in that list is the option to change. Formatting the mass memory is done under utilities, memory.

i have the same problem. been going on for 2 weeks. i took it to a local nokia repair centre after updating the software made it work for 5 minutes then fail again.

got it back from repair centre and found out it still doesn't work. i have tonight established that it works until i restore all of my information back to the phone. hmmmm, now i have to either send it away to be sorted and hope they just get me a new handset, or i have to figure out which part of the restore is causing the problem.
