Hi,

I need to transfer all my contacts from my old nokia 6300 onto my new nokia E71 in a same format and also want to ensure there are no duplications or errors.

Could someone please, advise the most effective, less time consuming and easy way of doing this.

I will be very very greatful.

sonyeric have a pc suite that lets you sync phone and pc.... do nokia not have the same?? It probably would have come on a disc in your phone box.

Yeah, it's very straightforward to do with Nokia PC Suite which you can download here:

It's pretty self explanatory and, like I said, it's very straightforward. Once you've downloaded PC Suite just click on "content copier" and you'll be guided through it. All you need is the right USB cable. Any problems you can call Nokia on 01480 434343 (option 1 and then ask for tech support - no need to call their 0845 number).

You can also transfer the contacts and calendar directly from phone to phone, using Bluetooth, by using the synchronise (or may be called transfer or phone switch depending on Firmware) menu options.

Good point. If you also want to copy texts, notes, calender etc. you can do this with cotent copier - I don't think the 6300 supports this over bluetooth.
