Web browsing charges

When a phone contract says free Web browsing does that mean downloads are free too, or is that literally just looking at websites and not downloading Youtube clips, music etc....?

Re: Web browsing charges

Anything up to their "fair usage" limit. Networks vary - it's 500mb with Vodafone although some give you more...

Re: Web browsing charges

Its measured in data used.....you can use it for anything you want. I have google maps on my phone and I can use my usuage with this.

I could if I wanted download images / files / music but I have my home internet connection for that.

Re: Web browsing charges

Read the Terms and Conditions for your/any service provider. It should give you a better idea of what you can or cant access/download. I really hope all of these providers are banned from using the word "Unlimited" when describing their data plans! Wonder if it would stand up in court?
