Anyone else had this problem with HTC TYTN II?

I have an Orange HTC TYTN II and it has one of those irritating intermittent problems. Simply put the phone misses calls, when someone phones me, instead of the phone ringing it puts the calls straight to answerphone and the first I know about the call is when I get a text message about the call.

The phone has no diverts active, is currently on 2G only, and on manual network selection. This problem is happening in various parts of the country so it's unlikely to be a network problem. I have contacted Orange who's technical support are saying that it is not a problem with the phone although they are saying that it is possible that the phone has a design flaw So my question is has anyone else had this problem?

this happens to me as well but depends where I am, at work in city centre I get a strong ish 3g signal and phone works ok normally, at home I get a poor 3g signal and it sometimes switches to 2g but I usually miss a lot of calls and txts.

Not raised it with orange as yet but as it's a company phone I probably should and see if the business unit can sort t out.
