has any one here subscribed to Free Text Alerts?

they offer free text messages full of useful info (such as bigbro) but theres no charge?
seems to good to be true!! was just wonderin if anyone has used this service before i give them my mobile number?

what do they get out of it?. they prob sell your num to ad/spam agencies
