lg secret query?

hi just got this phone on O2 upgrade but i'm buggered if i can get album art to work1 Has anybody managed to get it to appear, i thought it was an option in the visualisation menu but it isn't. help it's starting to bug me

Whats it like in general? I like the sound of having a part touchscreen and keys

tbh its ok, not big rant and rave all singing all dancing but defo ok. Some things are good some things i don't like, i find the touch pad very easy to catch when you want to press the middle key. The album art is bugging the hell out of me as i still cant get it to work. The camera and video are good except every time you restart either they go back to default settings which is bloody annoying. I hardly use the touch screen itself as everthing it does the phone does any way ( a bit of a gimmick in my opinion) the games are amusing for 5mins but then get tedious. Still i do like it and don't have any probs with battery life. Overall i would rate it 7/10 if they sort out the album art and get it so you can search using the cover art and sort the stoooopid default camera settings then it would be loads better.

HELP! Looking at getting an LG Secret tonight but not too sure now from reading reviews is there anyone who owns this phone that could help ?

Yeh I love album art, busy doing all mine a the mo on my computer for my iPod.

What is the exact prob with it? does the art show in iTunes and Win Media player for example? and then just not on LG? Have you got a MP3 tagger program? does it show in that?

Have you emailed LG?

Are you able to browse your music by album art a bit like an iPod or iTunes? is this done in the Touch Media mode?

Also what size SD card are you using in it? I have read officially it takes 4Gb, but on other forums and GSM Arena state that it can take 8gb cards

Just been onto Orange, there doing LG Secret+8Gb SD card, +600mins+ unlimited txts +Unlimited web for 30/month for 18months, so looks like LG may take the 8Gb card, this also looks like a great deal, best Im going to get i think, unless that niggle of the iPhone stays with me, I will phone O2 1st to see what they say but dont think they will match that, hope they do, save the hassle though!

try the album art so its only small ie Jpeg 200X200 or something.

I have just go the wife a new SE W580i, sent a couple of songs from iTunes (with album art in) to the phone it didnt display.

hunted around and the size of the album art is critical, I copied the song, deleted the original album art, added a small jpeg, 100X100 and then copied and it displayed fine.

I wonder if this is the problem?

I will mess about and try to get Album art to work, when I use the phone on Monday and inform you of outcome ok

Well got this phone on my O2 upgrade.

Also ordered a 8Gb Micro SD as heard on web that although offically only works with 4Gb, could with a 8Gb.

Tried my Sandisk 8Gb in and worked no prob - problem 1 sorted.

I have also got album art working, i was right above, I synced some of my iTunes over with album art and didnt work.

I had to re-tag the file, with smaller artwork (quickly tried google images and picked a 300X300), and then they showed up on the phone no probs. Im not sure if there is a max resolution or max file size, I will email LG, its a pity it doesnt work, as now for all my music I want on phone have to have a seperate file for each one with tagged smaller artwork, I dont want to mess up my iTunes library.

Havent tried much else yet but its a real nice phone.

mmm Dunno if I can get used to this phone or not. My brother had a couple of phones a LG and a Samsung, and had warned me about touch buttons. I thnk he;s right.

You are always pressing the wrong button, Also the Touch media for the whole screen to become touch screen works fine, but its not much use really, the M-Toy games you get bored with quick, the music player and FM radio is fine, doc viewer ok, but slow

I dunno whether I can phone O2 and say that I dont like it anymore and change it? its only been a week, is this allowed, ie just an excuse that "sorry I dont like this phone anymore can I exchange for another one? (prob a N95 8Gb)

I sent mine back today on the 14day return policy, got sick of the touch navi buttons.

the phone is not user friendly and the touch navigation is a bit of a hit and miss as to whether it takes you where you want to go!!
i got this for the wife and it now sits in the box and she is back to using her old phone............what a waste of money!!!
the only satisfaction i have is that she chose it!!!!
