O2 Tariffs

Just a quick question that I've been wondering.
I'm with O2 on contract (have been since january) paying £20 a month for 200 minutes and 400 texts. Problem is, I'm using way more text's than I have (my bill last month was £28 ).

Anyone know if I can move to the next tariff up (400 minutes, 1000 texts, £25) without penalty, and without the contract starting again?

I have tried contacting O2 by email, but I haven't had any answer.
Thanks.

Re: O2 Tariffs

I just upgraded with o2 and am now getting 400 mins and 500 txts for £15 a month. Saw a deal online and forced them to match it or give an equal deal. loook around and then call them on 202 from your mobile.

check mobiles.co.uk
they are doing nokia 6500 classic with 600 mins and 500 txts on 02 for £35 month, half price for 16 months, just £17.50. Ask 02 to match this or work a more suited deal for you. they were more than helpful with me

Re: O2 Tariffs

Cheers.
If I were to phone them today (I'm not cos I don't have time to lol), would the new tariff take effect immediatly (or within a few days) or would i have to wait until my month starts again?

Re: O2 Tariffs

Most mobile companies will allow you to upgrade your tariff without penalty. It's only if you downgrade tariffs that you could get penalised.

Re: O2 Tariffs

If you have one particular number you text a lot to then you might be better off getting an O2 sim for other person and enjoy like free o2 to o2 texts/calls for about a fiver a month or so.
You might also find the sim only [simplicity] deals attractive.
