Mobile phone signal booster?

My area has a poor Orange signal.

I have seen these little thin film boosters that you put into the phone. They have mixed reviews from "good" to "scam"

Any views on this?

Anyone found an effective (and not too expensive) method that does actually boost the signal a bit?

Re: Mobile phone signal booster?

From what I've heard in other post and forums the general answer is no.

The problem is that signals have problems getting in to buildings, hence the reason you find yourself near a window.

you can buy a signal repeater which receives the signal out side or in the window and relays it via a cable or a signal repeater in to your home

We have one in the office to improve our 3g signal we bought ours form Mobdev.co.uk works very well. They do single phone versions for personal use which isn't expensive.
