iTouch and Windows Calendar (Vista)

I'm trying to establish whether the iTouch can serve as a replacement PDA for my ageing Palm TX. The crucial question centres on calendar synching. I know it supports Outlook calendar and contacts, but can anyone tell me if it will synch with the calendar and contacts apps in Vista (which have replaced Outlook Express)? Much obliged, as always.
