Is there a way to get out of 3 contract

Hi I've been with 3 for about 6 months now with a Viewty phone, I no longer like the phone and constantly get problems with reception and call quality with 3 is there a good way of getting out of my contract? I would put up with the bad signal if i had a better phone I brought this one for camera quality and soon realized that all mobile phone cameras are rubbish no matter the pixels or good reviews they receive. I'm guessing there isn't much I can do but any advice would be helpful

You're pretty much stuck with the contract sadly, but you can change the tariff to the lowest and cheapest possible offering and then buy out the contract. If you're on an 18 month contract, that's going to be 12 months worth of the cheapest option though, which still isn't going to be cheap.

Re: Is there a way to get out of 3 contract

do 3 do a contract for a tenner or so.???

if they do and you got 12 mths to run surely you could sell the lg for around £120-£140 and pay off the contract.

wouldnt that work????

Re: Is there a way to get out of 3 contract

i know a friend on 3 who pays £10 each month for 500 mins & 100 texts.
probably been with them for some while

maybe speak to 3 & tell them your concerns, & see what they can come up with.

Re: Is there a way to get out of 3 contract

Hi

I had a similar problem with 3. I loved 3 when I could get a signal. At home it went from full signal to no signal in seconds. 3 customer service said that the signal in my area was fine. In the end I had to buy my way out of a one year contract.

Painful at the time but I got to keep my number.

I think you'll find your subject to a downward migration policy which would make the above info incorrect.

Three do allow you to change your contract tariff, but to what and how much the new contract is depends on when you took out the policy. They have different rules for contracts depending on the start date, and I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head what those dates are.

You can, in any situation, buy out the remainder of your contract.
