What PDA should I buy?

I would like a phone that I can use to connect to wireless internet when I am at home and at school, just like My friend who has the iphone and can use safari. My main priority is being able to check my emails whenever there is a unprotected wireless connection available.

I have no need for the internet proper, neither do I need a camera, but both would be nice. Maybe a email client also.

I would also like a qwerty keyboard, which should be a usable size but preferably small enough for my pocket. (unlike blackberries)

I have looked on ebay and they are very cheap, but I want to make sure I want the right one, and also I am worried that the internet won't work unless I have credit on it.

Thank you very very much.

Have you thought about something like this ? These were £249 last year but reduced to £149 recently , excellent device's . I bought the 401 last year for £127 . It has BT/FM Radio/TV/answer machine/Wi-Fi and a host of other things .It's a bit big but I put up with it . .I had thought I had damaged it recently as it just froze and wouldn't start ,and went ahead and bought a new phone from ebay , the 501 for £77 . Again what an excellent phone and a nice qwerty keyboard to boot .Check out the Ubiquio website for for the latest models ,check out the expansys site , they have a good range of Smartphones and PDA's with the prices.

Re: What PDA should I buy?

A Vario III (T-Mobiles version of the HTC Kaiser) might be worth a look. Has a slide out keyboard (allowing it to be bigger than most), wifi, 3g, gps (makes google maps a lot more useful), bluetooth, large touchscreen display, Windows mobile 6 (can get skype/voip for it though t-mobile block it on their network you can use it via wifi), camera, mp3 player, pocket versions of the main ms office sw (inc email) and if you install remote desktop you can even network into windows pc and use them.

T-mob do a flat rate data deal for £5pm extra but the phone is available from other providers (under different names) and I'm out of date on who's doing what deal.
