Hi,

I'm on a Vodafone contract with the £7.50/120MB mobile internet monthly add-on. I am thinking of getting a Slingbox for the home. Does anyone have any idea of data useage over Slingbox Mobile... ie; how much data would be consumed in 1 hours viewing over 3G?

This probably wont apply to those with Three X-series as its all in (80hrs viewing p/m). With Vodafone, I've no idea if I would breach the 120MB limit in just a few hours... that could be very costly !

Has anyone succesffully set this up from a vodafone phone?, I am trying on my N95 and its not working, I also heard that maybe Vodafone have blocked slingbox so you have to pay for their mobile TV

is that correct?

I've had it working on a Vodafone business SIM card. The amount of data was quite substantial if I remember correctly. You might get 5 hours at most from 120MB.

i got the o2 "unlimited" data package with a 200mb limit (or not, depending on who you talk to). i used youtube twice, and once was 50mb and the other was 30mb. that was just two short music videos of about 4 minutes and shorter. i think it would only take you a few minutes to reach you limit. i doubt you will get away with streaming video on a 150mb limit, it's probably against the terms as it is on o2
