Adding maps to Tom Tom on N73

I have an N73 with Tom Tom 6 UK and Western Europe installed, I have a 2GB mini sd card installed. I'm going to Canada in the summer and would like to install maps for Canada. Can I put them on a different SD card and just swap the cards for the Canada trip as the card I have in now is pretty full. Will Tom Tom just see the new card and maps and link to them or is there some sort of install needed?
