Re: blurred photos on new n95 black:(

Are you using a half press on camera button and waiting for viewfinder to go green before fully pressing button and taking shot?

Re: blurred photos on new n95 black:(

Yep, Uridium is right, there's an amazing amount of people are unaware of the half press when taking photos on their mobile phones. Also, do you have your 'motion sensor' enabled? There's a setting under the phones camera that can be turned on and off that compensates for hand shake, windy days etc. I'm afraid I cant remember off the top of my head coz I sold my N95 last month, but check out the N95 thread or google it

Good luck

Re: blurred photos on new n95 black:(

that's why your pictures are blurred once it's focussed it will turn green. never take a pic while the border is red

what are you taking pictures of?

try a different setting, landscape, macro (close up), etc to see if you get better shots.

Re: blurred photos on new n95 black:(

you said that you could take decent sharp pictures before, have you dropped the phone??

Look at the lens of the camera and compare it to some images online to see if it looks different. The lens may have been damaged, thus getting a blurry image on the screen all the time

Is the image always really blurry? On a scale of 1 to 10?

Re: blurred photos on new n95 black:(

2 things I had exactly the same thing:

- are you smudging the lens when holding the phone, when I hold it my hand goes right across the lens leaving fingerprints on it??

- is the phone in the right setting, ie are the objects too close, if you dont set it to macro you'll get blurred images too.

Re: blurred photos on new n95 black:(

lens was clean and seemed fine.

i did a factory reset and that didn't do anything, so i thought i'd give updating the firmware a go before i rang vodafone, and hey presto it worked

now taking nice clear photos not sure if it was a bug or what??:confused

anyway it fixed it so i'm happy, thanks for all the help guys
