hi, im having trouble unlocking my nokia n81 8gb locked to vodafone, ive tried a few places and they dont seem to have the codes for it, the only soloution i seem to have is paying vodafone £10 for a new sim card to register with them and £20 to unlock it....

i bought a locked one because it was £50 cheaper than a unlocked one and a friend advised me it would be easy to do, seems this isnt the case.

all i have is the handset locked on vodafone no vodafone simcard.. please could someone help or advise me what to do..

yeah seems a goodun but ive only had it 2 days not really used it due to this frustrating problem still using a old cracked sony ericsson w800 someone please put me out of my misery

You should be able to get a Vodafone SIM cheaper than 10 quid. They are 2 quid online.

But it is the best way to get your N82 unlocked. If you are very lucky and get someone at Vodafone who is not au fait with the latest models they might think it's over a year old and not charge you the 20 quid. It's happened to me twice.
