O2 Sim on BT Mobile?

Hi,

Could anyone tell me whether an o2 sim will work on a phone locked to BT Mobile?

Will there be any photo messaging issues if I have it unlocked?

Cellnet became O2, BT Mobile currently use Vodafone as their provider, couple of phones I bought via BT Mobile were already unlocked.

Does that mean I it will more than likely be unlocked anyway? Or not worth the risk?

No way to tell without trying your SIM in the phone.
