iPhone SIM

Hi all another hopefully simple to answer iPhone question.

If I buy an iPhone can I use any o2 SIM card? I already have an o2 contract so just want to use that SIM.
Further if I did not activate it & set up a new iPhone tarrif would there be any features that I couldn't use?

Many thanks

Nuggsy

Re: iPhone SIM

Hi Nuggsy,

This is exactly what I have done. With a bit of help from the forum, the phone was hacked in about 30 minutes, I slotted in my O2 contract sim and away I went. The only thing not available is Visual Voicemail and also for some reason I can't see any EDGE settings from the Network menu but apart from that everything else works, Youtube, email, Safari, Weather, Stocks etc.

Why commit to a further 18 month contract when you already have one?

Enjoy.

Re: iPhone SIM

Thanks mate.
What is involved in the unlocking & where can I get the info?

My assumption was there would be no 'interference' required as I would be using an o2 SIM?
