I'm looking for a value-for-money mobile phone that has a good camera on it.
I found this Thai model I-Mobile 902 which seems to have an 8 megapixel camera (5 would be enough) and they sell on Ebay for £139.95 plus postage. Has anybody any knowledge of these phones or the manufacturer, as they do seem to be a bargain.

Theyre usually junk to be honest. We got a hold of a touch screen 8mp one and im pretty sure from looking at the pics it was a 2mp but interpolated up to 8mp.

You get what pay for I'm afraid. You'd be better off buying an N73 or K800i for under £100. the 3.2MP camera on these would be far superior to the Ahem... "8MP" on the Chinese hokey cokey brand phone.

Whilst I would agree that usually imports like this are a cheap knock off this isn't actually the case with the i-mobile 902. It's not widely available but it is regarded by many as the best camera phone on the market to date. It's NOT 8mp though, it's only 5mp. The 8mp is some kind of software trick. Rumour has it that this was the camera module the SE K850 was supposed to use but in fact they ended up using an inferior model.
