My mother wants a new phone, and has decided upon either the samsung E250 or the D900i. They are both very similar in looks, but the D900i has a higher resolution screen and camera, and although it doesn't really matter to my mother, I was thinking she may aswell get the D900i as both are free on the contract she wants anyway.

However, I've read a lot about problems with the D900 screen, and how easy it is to crack (and its happened to my friends), so I'm bit reluctant to recommend the D900i to her. Any idea's if the issue was fixed in the modifications made from the D900 to the D900i?

yea, I know that. But as my mother only uses the phone really to call and text people, it doesn't really matter. The only reason I'm even thinking about the D900i is because she said she likes the look of it. She really doesn't care about features that much.
