Just a phone..

Guys my Nokia 6300 has died so I need to get a phone PDQ.

Now call me old fashioned but all i want is a device to make and receive calls and the odd text...

I have a Molorola F3 but that is a little bit to eccentric on the text front, but can anyone suggest anything similar i can pick up in london tomorrow.

nokia 6500 classic is the obvious choice if you want similar to the 6300, pretty much same basic phone, not overspecced, nice lookin and slim enough to not be a burden in any pocket.

sony ericsson k800i.

going at a good price right now..& will last you a good while to come.
i had a nokia 6300 too, but gave up with it-happier with the k800i!.
much, much better.

I agree, K800i is a good choice... and at the moment a bargain on PrePay. Have a look in Argos, Woolworths and Carphone Warehouse as they are all around the £65-£80 on pay as you go..

I had a Sony Ericsson w810i and to be honest I can hardly fault it for what it does. It's been dropped on multiple occasions and still functions perfectly. A nice easy to used interface and I find texting is easy. Has a handy light that can be used as a torch which doesn't sound like much but you'd be surprised at the amount of times I've used it!

I'm upgrading now for a singing and dancing LG Viewty but I am definitely keeping the w810i as a back up.

I'd guess the k800i is similar in function but with better camera but not so good music player. these phones also have a radio which is lacking in the 6500 classic but the 6500 is slimmer and perhaps better looking.
