Alarm on Windows Mobile 6

I received my O2 Stellar yesterday and I have to say it is an amazing piece of kit. I love the SmartDial software and the general ease of use.

The trouble is, I am having a problem with the Alarm, which I used to have on my old Dell X50V.

When I go to bed, I want to use the Stellar as my alarm clock (my Nokia 6300 used to do this job perfectly) I can turn the alarm on no problem and set a nice tone for it...B U T ! I can't stop the device from making a noise when other reminders (e.g. calendar items, task items etc) pop up.

This is really really annoying. I have changed all the other settings so that incoming calls, messages etc are on silent but it seems that the settings for Alarms and Reminders are together.

I really want to use my Stellar as an alarm clock but at the moment it's just not practical and seems down right daft! Is there something I am missing?
