HTC TyTn II users Query

It's that time of year and my O2 pay monthly contract is due for renewal soon (Dec)...I'm staying with them as I'm now on their broadband service.
Anyway, I'm thinking of upgrading to a smartphone and I am torn between the new Nokia E51 and the HTC TyTn II which O2 will be launching in Dec and rebranding as the "Stellar" I believe.
I've read a few reviews of the TyTn II and visited various forums where it's being discussed but I've seen a few complaints where the phones screen backlight comes on during a call but then cuts out about 10-15 secs later and cannot be brought back on by pressing a button etc therefore making the screen hard to read.
Any owners on here like to comment?...is it true or was this just a one-off faulty model?

Re: HTC TyTn II users Query

I'm pretty sure there is a registry tweak in the pack on either Modaco or XDA-Developers that fix this. I'm pretty sure I can get my screen back on during a call.

Re: HTC TyTn II users Query

if you turn off the auto key lock this stops the light going off or you just press the power button
but as a minor fault its a pain but the rest of the phone more then makes up for that
it did for me once i got rid of the standard orange rubbish
i have just installed tomtom6 and a 4gb micro sd and its great
