contract help & a laptop for £45 on 02!

dear all,

i need to terminate my orange contract which is no longer in 'contract' and i pay monthly on a month on month basis.

1/ i have given 1 months notice as required this evening which they tell me cancels the contract on 20th december. I have just paid in advance until 14th december via dd so i will be getting another bill from 14th december to 14th january for a phone line i will not be using.

is there a way of getting out of this?
they want to take money from me and then refund it!!

i have been with orange for 6 years now.

2/ want a cheap laptop?
a heads up as i bought a nokia 6300 today with o2 from cpw for 24 months with 800 free mins & 5oo free text pm - a dell laptop was only £45 if i took this, which was great for my business as my ageing pc is near death!!

they are offering a free laptop deal but you have to sign up to aol broadband and cant use the laptop with any other bb provider ie bt - which was no good to me as im in contract with them for 2 years at my work premises.

but...i asked the sales guy if they offer business users any other laptop deals and he obliged.

£45 plus delivery for a dell laptop - im over the moon!!!

looking forward to hearing from you about the orange contratc rip off!!!

thanks in advance for your replies!!
